About Us

The Dean’s Student Advisory Council (DSAC) is an undergraduate committee that advises the BSOS Associate Dean and Dean on undergraduate matters, provides a forum for student leaders to propose and launch initiatives to support undergraduates in BSOS, and offers a forum for discussion and action on matters pertinent to the undergraduate experience at the University of Maryland. We operate with 4 committees that are committed to this mission including Student Services, Academics, Programming, and Outreach.

William Gouker

Chair

William is a senior, Government & Politics major with minors in history and sustainability studies. This is his second term on the Dean’s Student Advisory Council. previously on DSAC, he served as the Vice Chair for Outreach. As Chair, he plans to work with Council members to enable and empower the most change possible. Outside of DSAC, William is involved in Maryland Images: Campus Tour Guides, the Student Alumni Leadership Council, and has an internship on Capitol Hill.
