Programming Committee

This committee plans, organizes and manages all of DSAC’s events. The committee plans at least one major event each semester, such as the Student Faculty Dinner, and collaborates with the Dean’s Office Staff to make reservations for campus buildings or virtual webinars.

Isha Rajani

Vice-Chair | Government & Politics Representative

Isha Rajani is a junior majoring in International Relations. She is a part of the Joint Bachelors/Masters program, where she will be graduating this year and getting her Masters in Public Policy. This is her first year serving as a GVPT representative on the Dean’s Student Advisory Council and is excited to spread awareness throughout BSOS about DSAC and its initiatives. Outside of DSAC, Isha is a Justice in SGA, a Coordinator in the Scholars Peer Mentor Program, a Terp Guide in the UMD Undergraduate Admissions Office, and a Logistics Lead in Maryland Minza. After her Masters, Isha wants to go to law school and hopefully end up in the field of International Relations and Health Law. Contact:

Brandon Barboza

Neuroscience/At-Large Representative

Brandon is a Criminology and Criminal Justice major with a minor in Global Terrorism Studies. In his first term with DSAC, he is driven by a passion for helping others and aspires to pursue a career in federal law enforcement. Outside of DSAC, he enjoys lifting, running, and spending time with friends and family.

Ibhade Akhabue

Criminology & Criminal Justice Representative

Ibhade Akhabue is a junior double majoring in Criminology & Criminal Justice and Finance. This is her first year serving on DSAC as the Criminology & Criminal Justice Representative, and she is excited to work within the Programming Committee to foster community and belonging in BSOS. Outside of DSAC, Ibhade is an Honors Ambassador, Chair of Fundraising for the African Students United for Progress (ASUP), and an undergraduate teaching assistant for a CCJS course. She also participated in UMD’s Federal Fellows Program and interned with the House Judiciary Committee at the Maryland General Assembly. After graduation, Ibhade plans to attend law school to explore the intersection of law, finance, and public policy.
